The Heritage Institute offers professional development for K-12 educators through online and distance courses. Continuing education quarter credits are available through Antioch University. Antioch CE credits are acceptable in most states for recertification and in most school districts for salary enhancement.

I teach World Literature at Lake Washington High School in Kirkland, WA. As a teacher liaison for the World Affairs Council, I connected with a Peace Corps volunteer in Namibia, Africa to facilitate a letter exchange between students. I was excited; I lived in Namibia in 1998 while I studied post apartheid development, so I held a soft spot in my heart for the area.
