SERVICE LEARNING CERTIFICATE PROGRAM - ONLINE
Service-Learning Certificate The Washington State Learn & Serve Program out of The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) has funded a service learning certificate program consisting of five (5) courses to support and enhance service-learning programs across the nation. Courses can be taken individually (for either clock hours or credit), or all five courses completed for the award of the Learn and Serve Service-Learning Certificate.
If you plan to pursue the certificate, we suggest you take the courses in the order listed. You may take the 5 courses in any combination of clock and/or credit.
The courses are each awarded 20 Washington clock hours, 20 Oregon PDUs, 2 CEUs or 2 Quarter Credits from Antioch University, Seattle. Fees are $195 per course for Clock, PDU, or CEU; $195 per course for 2 credits at the 400 level and $195 per course for 2 credits at the 500 level. The courses will be taught by Susie Richards, Service-Learning Washington State Training Cadre Coordinator, who has been engaged in the service-learning field for over 16 years.
