David Marshak taught for 14 years in the College of Education at Seattle University and now teaches part-time at Western Washington University. Prior to that he taught in high schools and a variety of adult settings. Although he has never been the class teacher in a multiage elementary classroom, he has more than 25 years of experience in these settings as a parent, school administrator, researcher, advocate, parent educator, and implementation coach. David is the co-author, with Alice Leeds, of Teaching and Learning in the Intermediate Multiage Classroom (2002: The Scarecrow Press).
