In an era of social polarization and political gridlock, we need to offer students the skills to respectfully tackle critical, contemporary issues. Finding common ground instead of differences forms the foundations of citizenship based on equality and a shared sense of belonging.

In a brand new course, BEYOND DIVISIVENESS: Teaching Students to Respectfully Discuss Critical Social Issues, Stacey Shaw guides teachers to learn how to examine their own bias' and thoughtfully lead discussions on social issues in a non-partisan way.

BEYOND DIVISIVENESS: Teaching Students to Respectfully Discuss Critical Social Issues is October's featured course. Enjoy a discount on continuing education credit hours (tuition is discounted to the price of clock hours) through the end of October 2017.
